    Vrat ke Pattice | Farali Aloo Tikki | Vrat Ka Khana – Fasting food dishes are nutritious to eat and easy to digest. This food is also easy to cook. Today, I am going to share with you a very simple and quick recipe for fasting or vrat.

    India celebrates many festivals throughout the year and the same goes for Puja and fasting. The big question is what to make new in food for such different fasting occasions. I have come up with a simple recipe to answer this question and that recipe is shingada pattice.

    Every fast has certain rules and a meal is prescribed for it. Fasting is like penance, so it is necessary to complete the fast in the manner prescribed.

    On Mahashivratri we break the fast on the second day, on Ashadi Ekadashi also we break the fast on the second day, so this fast is for 24 hours. The fast that is done every week is for 12 hours, which means we break this fast in the evening with a meal.

    We may eat fruit for 12 hours of fasting, but if the fast lasts for 24 hours or more, then we need to supplement the fast by follow the rules of fasting.

    Many of these fasting foods include shingada flour, potatoes, bhagar, and sweet potatoes. But you can’t use everyday spices to make these foods. So we can make new food dishes using fasting foods, so we can eat it on fasting day.

    With all this in mind, I have come up with a new recipe that you can consume on the day of fasting. And this recipe is Shingada Aloo Pattice.

    It takes very little ingredients to make this recipe and you can make these pattices in a very short time. So let’s see how to make the Pattice.

    Ingredients for Vrat ke Pattice

    • Shingada Flour – 1 cup
    • Peanut Powder – 1/3 cup
    • Green Chilli Paste – 1 tsp
    • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
    • Boiled Potatoes – 2 nos
    • Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
    • Oil – 1 tbsp

    How to Make Vrat ke Pattice

    1. First smash boiled potatoes in the bowl.

    2. Add peanut powder, green chili paste, cumin seeds, salt and singada flour in bowl.

    3. Mix all together.

    4. Knead a dough.

    5. Take small part of dough and give a shape like pattice.

    5. Add oil in a pan and transfer all pattice in pan.

    6. Shallow fry the pattice.

    7. 5 mins from each side on low flame.

    7. brush oil on pattice while frying.

    8. In 10 mins check pattice cooked or not.

    9. Wow! Pattices are cooked.

    10. Serve with curd or with your favorite chutney.
