Actually he love to eat chicken. So one day, when he was in 5th class, his mom decided to make a chicken kosha and that was very cold winter day. Chicken kosha means dry chicken, tawa chicken is also one type of dry chicken. You will not find gravy in this preparation or say this is a preparation of minimal gravy.

As I told you, my husband was sharing one golden memory(Incident) of his childhood, when he was a school going kid, his mom used to cook chicken kosha on a “Chulha“(oven made by soil). The thing is you will always find very heavy winter in north India, so in that heavy winter she specially used to make the chicken leg(chicken kosha using chicken legs).
He told me, that was the beautiful experience for him, to have a garam garam (hot) chicken legs which are prepared with the mingles of spices in that cold winter. He is still remember that and want to live that moments again. So after heard this story, I have decided to Make “Tawa Chicken Leg”. This was my tasty, cool and delicious Saturday preparation. I don’t have “chulha – one type of Earthen chulha” at my home but no worry I can cook this chicken leg on gas.
This is very easy and ready to make recipe. Tawa chicken leg recipe is best fit for every chicken lover, doesn’t matter if they are kinds, teenagers, adults or senior person. Ingredients For Tawa Chicken Leg
- 2 Chicken leg
- 1 Chopped tomato
- 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 lemon
- 2-3 Green chilies
- 2 cube of butter
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Chicken Masala
- 1 Tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Black cardemom
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
How to Make Tawa Chicken Leg
Before start our preparation, make sure that all ingredients are in your hand. And start chicken legs marination process.
Step 1: We have to marinate chicken legs first. For chicken marination process, take one mixing bowl and clean the chicken legs, pore lemon juice, sprinkle salt and ginger garlic paste on it. Cover and marinate this for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile cut the tomato, coriander leaves and green chilies.
Step 2: After 20 minutes, chicken legs are marinated now. Take a pan and heat the oil. Add cardamom in hot oil, let the cardamom splutter the aroma. Now add chicken legs in this oil, let the chicken legs fry in this hot oil. Cover it for while.
Step 3: Now add chopped green chili on this fried chicken legs and fry green chilies well. After green chilies are fried add chopped tomato, fry it well again. Then add red chili powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, garam masala and salt in this fried mixture. let the chicken leg cook well. Now chicken is perfectly cooked, pore half of the lemon and add 2 butter cubes on this chicken legs. Let it soaked the buttery smoothness.
Food is ready. Garnish coriander leaves on it and serve this preparation with lacha paratha, also serve the chopped onion, lettuce and lemon.
