Malai Murgh Tangdi is a preparation of tender chicken legs wrapped with the spices and creamy coating, means in this recipe you will find the fresh creamy chicken with the combination of different-different spices. The malai murgh tangdi will go good with nan or roti, but it is best fit with lachha parantha. Here it is raining in Mumbai and what would be the best dish to eat other than garam garam(hot) Malai murgh tangdi with lachha paratha. It is very easy recipe to cook. In this lovely monsoon season, I think everyone like to eat this delicious preparation with the very hot lachha paratha. Actually I want to share with you my story of malai murgh tangdi.

It was a rainy day and I was seating on my window to see the beautiful rain and the romantic atmosphere. I was feeling little hungry so I started thinking about what to cook for today’s lunch. I suddenly realized that I have chicken drumstick in my fridge, then I thought what will be better than the hot-creamy chicken with the mingles of spices which will melt in your mouth. My thought process took half an hour and it was still drizzling out side, so I have decided to make malai murgh tangdi with crunchy-soft lachha paratha. Then I started gathering all ingredients at one place which I will need to prepare this delicious and mouth melting recipe.

Malai Murgh Needs a perfect Marination

In this preparation marination of chicken legs is very important process, as it is the most crucial part of malai murgh tangdi. While making this chicken legs make sure that all the ingredients are there in your hand and the most-most important ingredient, fresh malai should be on room temperature. Remember we need fresh cream to make this Malai murgh, if you have homemade malai available then use that one, it will give you a little different taste. I love to eat hot malai murg tangdi in this monsoon season, because it is my favorite recipe too. If you don’t want to make roti or nan then you can eat this preparation with pav or bread, it is also suitable with this recipe.
In this recipe, you have only two steps to follow and your Malai Murgh Tangdi is ready. But this recipe is diffrent and very easy to make as it has only 2 steps to follow and your Malai Murgh tangdi is ready to eat. Ingredients for Malai Murgh Tangdi

- 3 Chicken leg
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsp Fresh Cream
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 3 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- salt as required
- 1/2 tsp Kanda lasum masala
- 1 tsp Chicken masala
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1/2 tsp Tandoor masala
- Oil
- Butter
Process for Malai Murgh Tangdi

Step 1: Take one mixing bowl and wash chicken well. Let’s start marination process. Take clean washed chicken and mark a cut, then take it into a bowl and add lemon juice, salt, cream, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, kanda-lasun masala, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, chicken masala and mixed hurbs. Mix it well, cover and keep it in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 2: After 30 minutes, take a pan and heat the oil, also add one cube of butter in this oil and heat it again. Now add 1/2 tsp tandoor masala and egg in the marinated chicken legs, mix it well. Add this mrinated chicken legs in hot oil, cover it for 2 minutes and fry them from both the side, when chicken is half cooked coat them again in that marinated creamy gravy and again fry until it will cooked fully. Chicken leggs will converted into a golden color now.
Malai Murgh Tangdi is ready. Serve this with lachha paratha, roti or nan. Additional Information
- If homemade cream is available then use homemade cream for marination.
- Instead of cream you can add creamy curd if it is available at home.
- If vinegar is available then add vinegar at the time of marination or you can use lemon like me.
- Adding a mix herbs are totally optional if you don’t have mixed herbs at home the don’t add it.
- If you want to make it little bit spicy then add 2 tsp red chili powder.
- If you like green chili then you can use green chili paste with ginger garlic paste.
- Chicken drumsticks are not available? So you can make boneless chicken by following same step by step method.
- If you are using creamy curd the don’t use lemon juice for marination.
