Dry Prawn Recipe | How to Make Dry Prawns – This is one of my favorite recipe. I love to eat dry prawn curry. The way I am sharing this recipe with you is the best way to prepare this prawn curry. This type of dry prawn curry is best serve with Bajrichi bhakri (Indian bread prepared by bajara flour). I am sharing Bajra bhaki recipe also. So it is thali treat for prawn lovers.

In my home there are many versions of this recipe. I am going to share one of them. It is quick preparation and you will need easily available ingredients for it. If you can also prepare a normal prawn like this. This recipe is suitable for every type of prawns. I am sharing with you a bajra bhakri recipe with this prawn recipe too. It is called bajrichi bhakri in Marathi. So excited for the recipe? Read on.
Ingredients for the dry prawn
- 1/2 Bowl Dry Prawn
- 1 bowl Bajra flour
- 4-5 Green chilly
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 Chopped tomato
- 1/2 bowl coriander leaves
- 7-8 Curry leaves
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp Mustered seeds
- 1/2 Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt
- Water
How to Make Dry Prawns?

Step 1: Firstly take dry prawn in one mixing bowl, add water in it clean it well and then again add a water and let it soaked in a water. Meanwhile cut onion, tomato, green chilly, coriander leaves and also clean the garlic cloves. Now take garlic cloves and green chili’s in grinding bowl (Khalbatta) And make paste out off it. Remember we don’t need a smooth paste.

Step 2: Now take a pan and heat the oil. Strain the water of prawn and add it in hot oil, fry it well for 2-3 minutes. After frying take it out off the pan and then add curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustered seeds and chopped onion in this oil and fry until the cumin and mustered seeds splutter in oil and onion get a smooth texture.

Step 3: It is time to add tomato. Add tomato and fry until it will get a smooth texture. After that add garlic and green chilly paste in it and fry it well. Then add turmeric powder, salt and garam masala in this mixture. Fry this mixture until the oil release from the masala.

Step 4: Mixture is ready now, so add fried prawn in this mixture mix it well. Then add 1 cup of water in it. Let the water boil, so the prawn cook well. Boil this curry for 3-4 minutes. Your dry prawn curry is ready now.
How to Make Bajra Bhakri?
This recipe is good serve with bhakri, so we are going to prepare Bajra bhakri. It is called bajrichi bhakri in Marathi. So let’s start to prepare Bajrichi Bhakri

Step 1: Take bajara flour in one flat plat and make a soft dough out off it by adding a required water. Then roll it with the help of hands and make a circle out of it like a roti or chapati.

Step 2: Heat the tawa and and put the rolled bhakri on it and add little amount of water on it. Let the bhakri roast from each side. your bhakri also ready. Now serve this prawn curry and bajra bhakri with salad. So enjoy the prawn thali.
Additional information
- Serve this curry with bhakri also make a salad and serve with it.
- Don’t forget to soak the prawn in water.
- You can also add red chili powder instead of green chilly.
