Chicken do pyaaza is my favorite preparation of chicken. Mostly it will go well with fulka, nan or roti. If you like to eat rice then have this with hot and soft rice.
Ingredients For Chicken Do Pyaaza
We need easily available ingredients for chicken do pyaaza, make a list! This all are easily available ingredients .
- 1 Kg Chicken (Preferred Desi Chicken)
- 2 Big size onion
- 1 Small size onion
- 1/2 Bowl coriander leaves
- 1 tomato
- 3 Green chilly’s
- 1 Cube Butter
- 2 tsp Ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Chicken masala
- salt as required
- 1 tsp Garam masala

How to Make Chicken Do Pyaja with Gravy Recipe?
Step 1: First we have to marinate the chicken. For that clean the chicken, then take it in one mixing bowl and add vinegar, red chilly powder, salt, garam masala, chicken masala and ginger-garlic paste in it. Mix it well and marinate it for 30 minutes (longer the better).
Step 2: As it is a quick recipe our marination time for chicken is 30 minutes, meanwhile cut onion, tomato – medium pieces, coriander leaves – fine chopped, ginger and garlic. Take Mixer grinder bowl, add ginger and garlic in it, grind it and make smooth ginger- garlic paste.
Step 3: Now take a deep pan and heat the oil, add chopped onion in it and fry untill it turn out to be golden color. Then add chopped tomato in it and fry till it will get a smooth texture.
Step 4: It is time to add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, Garam masala and salt in the mixture and fry it untill oil get separated from the mixture. Then add butter cube in it, let the mixture get a smooth texture and then add 2 cup water in it.
Step 5: Let the water boil then add 1 small onion and green chili in this water. Remember it is a whole onion and the green chili is not chopped. Lastly add marinated chicken in this spicy mixture, cover it and let chicken perfectly cook. Cover it for minimum 10 to 15 minutes.
your chicken do pyaaza is ready to serve. Serve it with rice, fulka or chapati. If you ask me I would suggest you to have this type of preparation with rice. Also prepare a salad. Mainly I like to eat raw onion and cucumber salad with this amazing preparation. Basically chicken do pyaza is a dry prepration of chicken
Additional Information For Chicken Do Pyaaza
- Use whole fresh green chili and onion to add in the gravy.
- Add butter cube as much as you want, no restriction. But limited consumption is good for health.
- Marination with vinegar is totally optional you can marinate the chicken with curd or lemon juice as well.
