    Bhindi Masala Recipe | Dhaba Style Bhindi Masala

    Hey Friends! Are you Okra/ Bhindi/ lady finger fan? So this recipe is specially for you. Today we are going to make a very delicious Bhindi Masala at akuner’s kitchen. You can call it a dhaba style bhindi masala also. But this recipe have a akuner’s special kitchen tadka.

    I am also a lady finger fan. Let me tell you this is first recipe of lady finger on akuner’s kitchen and I will going to post many more. You can also call it punjabi dhaba style recipe.

    So this is the first part from my lady finger recipe’s diary. There are many ways to make this recipe but I am going to share with you a very quick and easy recipe. It will take a 15-20 Minutes to cook. This is most delicious version of bhindi I have tried so far. It is a mixture or say combination of fried bhindi and right amount of spices.

    I have tried so many versions of bhindi in my kitchen and I also have to tell you a many delicious recipes of bhindi and then found this recipe little different than my usual bhindi fry recipe. I have this dish a name ‘Akuner Bhindi Masala’ because we are going to use lot of malasa in the recipe, we are going to prepare many other versions of bhindi in Akuner’s kitchen.

    Ingredients

    • Bhindi – 500g (Washed, wiped and cut into 1 inch pieces)
    • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
    • Onion – 1 cup (Chopped)
    • Oil – 5 tbsp
    • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
    • Green Chilli – 1 tsp (Chopped)
    • Tomato – 1/2 cup
    • Coriander Powder – 1tsp
    • Turmeric Powder – 1tsp
    • Red Chilli Powder – 1tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder – 1tsp
    • Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
    • curry leaves – 4 to 5 leaves
    • Salt to taste

    Process

    Step 1: First take bhindi in one strainer wash it well and clean it with neat and clean towel. Keep it a side, meanwhile cut onion, tomato, coriander leaves and green chilli.

    Step 2: Now cut lady finger in 1 inch pieces, like shown in picture. Vegetable cutting is also an art

    Step 3: Take a pan and heat the oil, add mustered seeds, jeera and chopped onion in it. Fry it well. After 5 Minutes add bhindi and sprinkle some salt and cook until bhindi is almost cooked.

    Step 4: Make a puree of tomato, onion, green chilli, garlic, ginger and curry leaves.

    Step 5: Now heat the oil again, add red chilli, bay leaf, green chilli and jeera in the oil. Now it is time to add puree and lemon juice in it and mix it well. Cover it for 3 minutes.

    Step 6: Add our powder masala. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt in this fried puree, fry it well cover it for 2 minutes.

    Step 7: Now it is time to add our fried bhindi in this masala and mix it well. Cover this bhindi for 2 Minutes.

    Step 8: Your masala bhindi is ready to serve. Serve warm lady finder masala with bhatore, roti or chapati.

    Instructions: If you like so you can add curd instead of lemon. And add little more oil to fry and make a crispy bhindi.
